''One Small Hitch'' is a 2012 romantic comedy film directed by John Burgess and written by Dode B. Levenson. Shane McRae stars as Josh Shiffman, who learns that his father is dying and his only regret is that he will not get to meet the woman who will one day become his son's wife. Desperate to fulfill his dad's final wish, Josh claims that he already met that woman, Molly Mahoney, who is played by Aubrey Dollar. == Plot == Family friends Josh Shiffman and Molly Mahoney play fiancée, but as they plan their phony wedding, the two of them start to fall in love for real. Molly Mahoney plans to fly home to her mother's wedding with her "mystery man" who she hasn't told the family about. Upon learning that he is married, she leaves him and starts crying in a bathroom. A flight-attendant gives her a pill meant to help. Molly meets up with Josh Shiffman, her brothers best friend from childhood also flying from LA to Chicago for the wedding. She behaves erratically before falling asleep. Josh gets a call saying that his dad is going to die of cancer in the next 6 months. His father says that his only regret is not seeing the woman his son would marry. Josh, in a moment of panic, says that it is Molly. She agrees to play along for the weekend. At Molly's mother's wedding, Josh gives Molly his grandmother's ring. Also at the wedding, Josh reconnects with a former flame, Giselle Brousard. After telling her the truth about the fake engagement, they begin a friends with benefits relationship. Molly and Josh are asked to stay longer to help with Josh's family's framing shop. They agree, and the family starts to plan the wedding. Although both seem to be falling for the other, Josh continues to see Giselle, and Molly tries dating other men. Meanwhile, Josh is with his dad who asks him if he's happy. After thinking, Josh replies that he doesn't want to spend his life with anyone else. Molly attends her surprise bachelorette party. When she is asked questions about Josh, Molly responds with by describing him a good man, and one she could spend the rest of her life with. Josh overhears this but walks away before he is discovered. Later that night, she shows him the lingerie she received for a wedding present. They have sex and their relationship seems to be progressing. The next day, as they jokingly register for the craziest things for their wedding, Josh and Molly run into Gisele. Josh and Gisele flirt and Molly is upset by this. During cake tasting with their parents later, Molly says she can't do this anymore. Josh chases after her and she admits that she loves him, returns his grandmothers ring and leaves. Appearing upset, Josh ends the "benefits" part with Gisele, and confesses he may love Molly. She advises him to follow his heart. Meanwhile, Josh's father has what the family thinks is a heart attack, but actually is just heart burn. Josh and Giselle rush to the hospital where Molly and the family are waiting. Josh's mother angrily reveals she knew he was having an affair and is horrified that he would bring Giselle to the hospital. Josh finally admits the truth; that he and Molly are not engaged. Molly's sister-in-law yells at him, saying that if he slept with her, he better shape up. Molly's brother hears this and starts to yell at Josh until Josh yells out that he loves Molly. Molly, appearing surprised, punches him. When Josh regains consciousness, he gets on one knee and proposes to Molly. She accepts and they kiss. After a fade to black, we see Josh and Molly, happily married, in the delivery room as they have their first baby.
